We eat too much

To get bigger is not coming in one time. Usually the weight settled step by step.

The first step it’s called the Dynamic aspect. It’s the result of an energetic analysis: we eat more food so more energy than we spend. The difference doesn’t have to be so large in between the two phenomenons to get bigger.

Fifty to two hundred calories a day during a period f time from five to ten years can be enough to gain weight. Usually this weight is going to get stable after. It’s the static step. Then waves of fluctuation will appear.

Why do we eat more than we need?

We are programmed to eat according to our hunger and not more. We have psychological, physicals and intellectuals connections which drive our appetite. But very fast we don’t’ know to listen to them. Everything is calling us to eat more and more often. The industrial food is made according to our hopes that are studied by marketing of those industries.

We are absolutely enabled to resist to those attractive products so likeable with a packaging so pleasant. They are offered to us everywhere; in all companies, at school, in the subway, in each street corner they call us to snack without control which put us in trouble regarding our nourishment balance, it’s push us to over eat fat and sweet calories.

Food which maintain the hunger

Most part of animals know spontaneously plan meals balanced and then keep themselves from eating too much. But this balance disappears when food too much sweet or fat is offered. During one month scientists proposed to rats or a portion of water or 5 portions of sweet water until 32 percent or also one portion of water and 5 of water sweetened. Animals of this group drink much more sweetened water, spend more calories and get fatter more than the others. The group which had only water is the one who gain less weight. It’s seems that it’s the same for men and some modern food disturbs appetite signals.

The brain is a control tower of what we eat

The center controlling the hunger is located at the level of hypothalamus. In this zone at the base of the brain together live a center of hunger and a center of satiety.

After receiving all the signals to the desire of eating this is the one which going to decide of our appetite and push us to end the meal or not. Several neuromediators happened serotonine, neuropeptidey, CRH, galantine. Those are involved in the food and also in the energetic spend.

Addicted to snacks

Sodas, chocolate, cookies, all those snacks appear in our daily food true the influence of food industry. Can we become addicted to snacks? The specialist of neurosciences Ann Kelley think that it’s possible. For two weeks she gave to rats food rich in fat and sugar. Result: Such a diet makes mentally the same changes that the one happened with a long use of morphine or heroin. “The simple exhibition to food with a nice taste is enough to modify the expression of some genes and that’s mean that we can become dependent of certain kinds of food (aliments)” the scientist said.
